Cuisine Japanese
- 2 tablespoon yuzu juice
- 2 teaspoon honey or simple syrup (plus more to taste)
- ice cubes
- 1 cup sparkling water
Mix the yuzu and honey. Add the yuzu juice and honey (or simple syrup) to a tall glass. Stir until the honey has completely dissolved.
Add the ice. Fill the glass about three-quarters full with ice.
Pour in the sparkling water. Slowly pour the sparkling water over the ice to preserve the bubbles.
Stir gently. Give the mocktail one or two gentle stirs to combine the ingredients without losing the fizz.
Garnish and serve. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of yuzu or lemon. Serve immediately while cold and bubbly.
- Chill the yuzu juice and sparkling water before mixing for the best flavor.
- I recommend starting with 2 teaspoons of honey so the bright flavor of the yuzu can shine. Add more to taste if you prefer a sweeter drink.
- Add the sparkling water just before serving to keep the mocktail fizzy.
